Class preparation process

1. Met the teacher Susan at the Coney Island Maker Faire, talked about collaborating to teach this workshop to her students

Since October, we talked back and forth about the workshop. After a long conversation and my struggles to reserve an empty classroom in school and inviting multiple guests, we finally set the date and time.

2. Met the teacher before workshop and had a demo session

Before the workshop day, I met Susan and taught her how to make the circuits. I had a quick demo session to walk through the making process from sketching to sewing with conductive thread. I also told her how I prepared the kits with the class materials. Susan promised me that she will prepare the kits, and finish the initial phases of the making process from paper sketching to cutting out felt sheets.

3. Sketched the circuits and basic circuitry instructions on the board of the classroom before class

On the class day, I went to D901 to prepare for the class. I quickly borrowed some dry erase markers from John and sketched the circuits and how it works on the board. Then I went downstairs to greet the attendees.
